Day Three, Day Two spent Crocheting.

Well, since I spent all day yesterday filling in my application for the Grad Scheme at Hotwire, I didn't actually manage to post. I then played a lot of The Sims 2 and made two squares for my quilt. Score.

Today however, I decided that it really was absolutely time to give up retail (for reasons I shall divulge when I've left) and enter the wonderful world of TEMPING. So I signed up here;

www.office-angels.com

and applied for as many temporary data entry/administration/receptionist jobs as I could. That being 4. I plan to go there in person on Wednesday and have some serious chat.

On a plus side, I bought some new trousers today. They made me happy.

This would be a longer post, but I'm feeling rather stroppy, and it's not this poor blog's fault, it's Dorothy Freakin' Perkins.

The Official Recorded Job Hunt: Day One

So after about five minutes thought, I am going to use this blog to apply for one job everyday until I get one. I am very sick of Dorothy Perkins, having worked there since I was 16 and all. So, rather than using a Sandwich Board and walking around London with my quals written on it I am simply going to record: ONE GRADUATES STRUGGLE TO ENTER THE WORLD OF EMPLOYMENT. It sounds like a tagline for a movie. Excellent. I hope the movie is called FAIL.

So... Day ONE!

Today I have a grotty cold, and spent the afternoon with my Mother watching 'Little Women' and eating KitKat Chunkys. Quite a yum way to spend a Saturday off. So today I applied for my first job of my recorded job hunt. I googled 'Random Jobs', hitting I'm feeling lucky and this is what came up. Suprisingly it's actually quite relevant, so I took this as a sign from above that I should absolutely definitely apply for it. So off I went.

I wrote a VERY long cover letter about how fabulous I am and how fabulous Random House is and how together we could be very fabulous. Let's hope they agree!

Now, it is almost time for Take Me Out, my current favourite bit of Saturday night veiwing, so that's enough of the job hunt today

Wow

So I set up a new Blog. I haven't really decided what it's about yet or anything. Could it be my daily struggle at Dorothy Perkins, could it be my alternative daily struggle of apply-for-a-real-job-a-day? Or both. It might mostly just be about what I've seen in the New In section of Topshop.com.

However, for now, it's about the fact I have a cold and my nose is really sore.

Peace Out
